Practising Reflection: workbook and poster

A co-design learning innovation project with postgraduate students in museum, gallery and heritage studies in Newcastle University to explore reflective practice and learning for early career museum professionals. The project addressed the turn towards reflective learning and practice in the museum, gallery and heritage sectors and sought to develop students’ employability and critical thinking and writing skills.

We deployed an innovative co-design approach that was student-led and collaborative. Through three participatory design workshops students explored what reflections means and tools to support reflection. They also came up with their own situation-specific tools which were put together in a workbook and interactive poster.
