Projects

I have led and contributed to a variety of research and knowledge exchange projects with both academic and cultural collaborators. In my work so far I have developed mobile applications and museum installations, studied social media use in museums and galleries with  particular emphasis in photography, and I have worked with institutional and community partners in the UK and EU.

In my work I use people-centred methodologies, design approaches and creative practice to explore different heritage practices in institutions, communities and by individuals.

I supervise multidisciplinary doctoral research as well as student exhibitions and museum interpretation projects in the MA in Museum Studies at Newcastle University.

I co-convene the Cultures of Memory research group.
